| Evan Farmer; "I heart you."
| You won't hear any wisecracks coming out of Jerry's mouth; he's the dude who's always faced with moral dramas. As Evan notes, "Jerry constantly struggles with issues-like, should he leave his girlfriend for the band?"
| With thier muscled, lean bods and winning smiles, Jerry and 'N Sync's JC Chasez are practically clones. Plus, both have that down-to-earth, nice-guy vibe.
| "I did the Backstreet Boys' voices on Celebrity Deathmatch," he reveals. And back in 1997, he was in the Russian guy group Na-Na. "I had to lip-sync Russian songs!" He recalls. "It was chaos."
| My fave boy-band song is 'N Sync's 'Bye Bye Bye.' It's not your typical love song-it's up-tempo and angry." |
| Alex Solowitz; "Mickey P. don't dress like no star-spangled Elvis."
| "Mickey tries too hard to be the band boy," observes Alex. "He's going through a total identity crisis. He's scared of girls for some reason. But he's an all-around nice guy, once you get to know him."
| With his funky style (tattoos, big jewelry), wild ways, and uncensored speech, Mickey screams A.J. McLean from Backstreet Boys. Both live by their own rules.
| "I watched MTV-that's as far as my research went," Alex says of playing Mickey. "The dance was a stretch. I'm not the best." He admits to being inspired by Seth Green's homeboy antics in Can't Hardly Wait.
| "I've met Howie and A.J. from Backstreet Boys, and they're great. I've never met any of the 'N Sync guys; I'm sure they're cool too. But 98 degrees are my favorites. I think they're the best singers." |
| Michael Cuccione; "So many girls, so little time"
| "Q.T is a girl-crazy 15-year-old who just happens to have a terminal illness," explains Michael.
| He's the adorable baby of the group who makes girls swoon, just like Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync. Intentionally or not, these baby-faced babes often steal the spotlight.
| This singer-songwriter already had the pop thing down pat before the move: he actually penned 2gether's song "Visualize." And he's been a dancer since he was a kid, when he got hung up on hip-hop.
| "I respect all the boy bands. As many of them as there are, they've all maintained their individuality. and they all work really hard. People may think it's all fun and games, but there's a lot of sacrafice that goes into performing." |
| Kevin Farley; "I used to be in this havey metal band, Pegasus, but we couldn't afford instruments, so we had to sing a cappella."
| "He's got really dumb ideas but a good heart," Kevin says of goofy but kind Doug-who doesn't sing-only get in the band by claiming that his bro, Chad, can't be in it without him.
| Like Nick Lachey of 98 degrees, Doug is a caring older brother who acts as the band watchdog. But unlike Nick, "I'm fat, balding fella," says Kevin. "I don't look the part!"
| "I went to the Virgin Megastore and bought 98 degrees and BSB videos," Kevin says. Still, 2gether presents challenges. "The first time we sang 'U + Me = US (Calculus)' I had a hard time keeping a straight face."
| "For my audition, I sang 'I Want It That Way' by the Backstreet Boys. It worked!" |
| Noah Bastion (It's BastiAn!); "I plan to make a buttload of money with this."
| "He's very shy, naive, and not very intelligent, Noah says of Chad. "But he's warm-he loves everything and everybody."
| With his aw-shucks sweetness and blond locks, Chad definitely resembles Lance Bass of 'N Sync. Only difference: Lance is a brainy babe, while Chad's anything but.
| Since he's such a huge boy-band fan, Noah didn't need to brush up on his skills-he practically had all of 'N Sync's and BSB's songs and moves memorized already!
| "I really dig boy bands. I loved BSB's Millennium, and now I like 'N Sync." He also hopes to follow in 'N Sync's footsteps by joining up with Britney Spears. "I'm madly in love with her," he gushes. "She's just so beautiful and nice." |
