Remember the Awesomeness...

2Gether started out as a movie that parodyed the concept of boy-bands. It featured 5 actors- Evan Farmer, Noah Bastian, Kevin Farley, Alex Solowitz, and Michael Cuccione- who played the roles of the members of the boy-band 2Gether- Jerry O'Keefe, Chad Linus, Doug Linus, Mickey Parke, and Jason "Qt" McKnight- respectively. After the movie aired on MTV, the response was enormous. Since the actors actually sang on the soundtrack, many people found it worth buying. Viewers fell in love with the fictional characters and the actors who played them.
The reaction was so great that MTV decided to spin it off into a t.v. series which began in August of 2000. There was also a new album released as the soundtrack to the series. This soundtrack was even more popular than the first one. The hit single "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up (is Getting Back Your Stuff)" even beat *Nsync on various singles charts. But why wouldn't 2Gether beat them? After all, isn't 2Gether as much involved in the music as a "real" boy-band is?
Not only do the actors sing all the songs and perform all the dance steps, but Michael, Evan, and Alex got the chance to help write some of 2Gether's songs. The band has even performed in concert. In fact, 2Gether deserves even more credit than other boybands since, in addition to their mucic, they acted in a regular series! The actors were just playing parts of band members, but they, themselves were the ones who were doing the singing and dancing.
On January 13, 2001, tragety struck. Michael Cuccione, who had a history of cancer, died of lung failure. MTV decided to cancel the series after airing the second and final season. Though the show has ended, 2Gether hasn't. The actors have gone on to pursue bigger and better things, but we will always know them in our hearts as 2Gether: the fake band that, for a moment, magically became real.

How are you doing? I put up screen captures for Pirates and Waxed. I'll be adding some for Daddy, Dead, and Hotties next.
Here's the info again on how to get a hold of Michael's book or cd. I emailed the nice people at Project Michael, and here's what they have to say about it: "What's the deal with Michael's deal? To help make a difference by ordering Michael's CD and book, send either a check or money order (no cash please, make payable to Making A Difference...if you can't write your own checks, give some cash to your parents and let them write one) to: Michael Cuccione Foundation

I've been getting things a little more up to date, I'm starting on a "where are they now" section, and I want to make the pics page more convenient. (By the way, I'm taking off some of the button ads etc. that used to be here just because they slow down the loading process and are not doing me any good. Tip: use http://www.storm.prohosting.com/2getherd/ and there should be no popup ads.)
Keep visiting and e-mail me if you have any problems or anything.
