The Twintail Betta
The double-tail or twintail Betta have been around for almost 10 years or longer. The double-tail Betta are produced from Betta breeders. They are hard to get or even see one especially in pet shops. The only places where you can see more than one or even sometimes buy one are in the fish shows or clubs. They do cost more than the regular Betta you see in pet shops. Prices $10.00 and up in pet shops and $25.00 to $100 or $200 at the shows. Take care of then as you would with a normal Betta and feed him the same, but you may want to take extra care, as their tails may be a little more delicate due to the split, and because of their higher value. I used to own a twintail Betta, and it was a spectacular sight when flared up! The twintail Betta is another beautiful variety of this exotic fish.
