The White Betta
The study of Betta genetics indicates that there are four main colors layers: Green/Blue, Red, Black, and Yellow. While this seems to indicate that white Bettas could never exist, a combination of genes can produce this beautiful fish.
Genetically the white Betta is:
Cambodian (Light Bodied)
Spread Iridescent
Opaque
Steel Blue
Non-Red (or Red-Loss after the loss occurs)
The White Betta is a beautiful and rare example of the Siamese Fighting Fish.
