Three hurt in Peace Road crash DeKALB - Three people were taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital after a two-car accident Thursday morning on Peace Road. Police said that shortly before 9 a.m., a Ford Crown Victoria heading north in the 1000 block of North Peace Road went into the southbound lane. The driver of a buick Electra heading south reportedly did not have time to brake or swerve, and the buick struck the Ford head-on. The driver of the Crown Victoria, Lance H. Vandenburg, 48, of Genoa, and the driver of the second vehicle, James M. Johnson, 72, of Sycamore, and his passenger, Lois J. Johnson, 64, of Sycamore, were all taken to the hospital. The three were treated and released. Police said the accident remains under investigation, and tickets are pending.
