I picked up this radio at the Cortland hamfest.

No tubes, no tube chart. Only one tube was listed, which narrowed the others down to what the heater current is, but I couldn't find all of the tubes using my Radiotron book.

This radio has short wave, but no IF stage. It also has the output tube cathode tied to ground, instead of the more familiar 150 ohm cathode resistor. This set has the AC line common returned to a resistor, which feeds the grid resistor, in the same manner of the battery-operated tube portables.

This set has also been mishandled. The IF coil is damaged.

The cabinet looks as if someone painted it, and scratched it.

It also has a dynamic speaker.

After refinishing-

It took a lot of work to get the paint off the dial escutcheon and the base.

Close-up of the dial which cleaned up nicely, thanks to the use of a glass cover, instead of plastic, which would have yellowed.

I'm still not sure whether the base was painted originally, because the wood is of pretty good quality.

Someone repaired this cabinet with a small nail, and I sanded off a little too much veneer.
