For our Annual Meeting this year, The Guy Lombardo Society took in the great big band sounds that awaited us at The HUB Ballroom's Annual Big Band Weekend. On Saturday, August 20th we enjoyed the danceable stylings of Ron Smolen And His Orchestra. Ron leads the "house band" at The HUB and his tempos were perfect. The band played a wide variety of music and even surprised us with a few authentic Guy Lombardo arrangements. Thanks Ron for all your help in making our Annual Meeting a success!
On Sunday, August 21st we ate lunch at The Back 40 Restaurant at noon and then headed over to The HUB for our official Annual Meeting which began at 2pm. At 3pm, we listened and danced to the sweet sounds of Barry Wagner And The Tony Barron Orchestra. The band played so good and Lombardo music filled the air for three hours. We had such fun.
