Projects   Distributions   Desktops   Applications   Free Software

I have been an avid GNU/Linux user for about 5 years now, and have gotten involved with a couple of small free software (as in free beer) projects in the past.  Unfortunately, I have had little spare time to do much work on them.  Regardless, these pages are simply a collection of my random, opinionated ramblings on the subject.  Some of it may be useful...who knows.  Use the links above to read more.

I currently have three machines at home (plus one laptop) with Debian GNU/Linux installed on them.  The others dual boot with Windoze so that I can use certain applications, play games, etc.  Also, my wife likes the familiarity of Windoze, though I hope to convert her at some point. :)  I have also rebelled at work and have Debian installed there as well.  For some things on that machine, I must use Windows NT, and therefore keep it running inside a VMWare virtual machine.  NT can crash all it wants, yet my workstation never quits.  Maintaining all these machines is quite trivial, really.  For those that run mainly out of stable, an occasional "apt-get update; apt-get upgrade" does the trick.  For my primary machine at home, which uses parts of testing and unstable, I hand-pick what I want with console-apt.
