Aramaic Aramaic was an important language of the Middle East from the 7th to the 4th century BC and a dialect of it is still spoken today by minorities in Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria. It is part of the Semitic language family, so there are similarities to e. g. Hebrew and Arabic. Sprachprofi File: doesn't yet exist.
