Currently some 900 families (4,500 people) in western Santa Rosa de Copán are receiving untreated drinking water. This project consists of physical improvements to increase water collection at the La Hondura reservoir, construction of a desedimentation basin, and a restoration of the water treatment works and pump house. This project will benefit the neighborhoods of El Carmen, Centenario, Bella Vista, El Calvario, San José, and Álvaro Contreras.
