The art and practise of photography has, through the many years now, kept me sane...
and provided me with a wonderful life, punctuated by many, many moments of pure joy and surprise.
(I've been doing it for 35 years now, and I'm only 34.)
I have spent enough time behind the lens, both film and digital, that I no-longer even need to take a camera with me, in order to enjoy this miracle of a hobby.
I simply look at something interesting, compose it, place a mental frame around it...
and in the long, well lit gallery of my mind,
...I quietly hang it up on the wall.
