Pausanias's Modifications of Neverwinter Nights last updated September 11 7AM GMT

Welcome to Pausanias's home page. Here you will find easy-to-install scripts that improve the battle performance of your associates and allow you to manage their inventory. The scripts will also make your enemies slightly smarter. The modifications are usable with your current Official Campaign save file.

In addition, module designers and scripters will find versions to use in their own NWN modules and tweak according to their own taste.

A few warnings about the files contained in these pages.

INSTALLATION: The Official Campaign files distributed here will overwrite the contents of your NWN "override" directory. You are strongly encouraged to make a backup of your original BioWare "override" directory before installing these files. When installing a new BioWare patch, first restore the original override directory, run the auto-updater, and then reinstall the scripts if you wish. The source code files do not modify the contents of your override directory, and may be used with any module.

COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS: BrandonW's Camera Angle Hack E and Torias's Epic Level Difficulty Mods are known to work along with my scripts and may be installed before or after them. Using any other mods (including a no-CD patch) with my scripts may cause them to function improperly. Check with Pausanias or the other mod authors to ensure compatiblity. MisterMister's Multiple Henchmen Mod has an earlier version of my scripts already built-in. Do not install it along with my scripts---use one or the other.

GAME PLAY ISSUES: The Official Campaign destroys henchmen and replaces them with a new version when you move into a new module (not when they die). It also destroys familiars and and animal companions when they are unsummoned or moving to a new chapter. If you don't want to lose your henchman's fancy inventory when this happens, you will have to take it back before you switch modules. With the latest version of the scripts, you no longer have to worry about leveling up.
