Revelation 4:11 says, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they were created and have their being.”

In the end times, God is using the powerful dynamics of arts to free His people physically, emotionally and spiritually. We see music being revived in the church, drama in the church, visual arts, vocal, sound, dance and etc. 250 years ago; it used to be that when people want to hear great music or experience great art, they went to church. It used to be that when people wanted to play or sing great music, they went to church. It’s time for the church to take back what is ours. God is restoring all things into His original purpose that He had created them.

Many of us were brought up to believe that dance, if not downright sinful, is at least undesirable in our churches or fellowships. It is a lie from our enemy to stop the church from redeeming all things. Dance, is an expression of love, an expression of how we respond to the Father’s love. It is only the downfall of men, who misuse dance and have abused the original purpose which the Father has intended it to be.

True consummation, complete fulfilment in our worship is not found in singing a song or performing a gesture such as kneeling, lifting our hands or dancing. True fulfilment begins with a humbling of heart and the surrendering of all that is within us, which creates a unifying or consummation of spirit between man and God. Singing and gesturing are fulfilling in that they release and express the emotion that is experienced in touching God. Expression without true emotion is empty, and emotion without any form of expression is frustration, unnatural and even sometimes reflects bondage. Dance is the physical outward expression of our love to the Father. It enables us to enter a level of worship that encompasses all that is within us as we worship, not only in spirit and soul but also physical bodies. When it comes to the heart being expressed through our physical bodies in our praise and worship, even the gentle swaying of a lifted hand can be a beautiful, pleasing dance before the Lord.

Dance in the Bible

There is to be dancing (and joy) when Israel is restored - Jeremiah 31:4-13

Miriam led dancing, singing and praise - Exodus 15:20-21

David danced before the Ark of the Lord - 2 Samuel 6:14-23 / 1 Chronicles 15-16
