Ken Green's E.I.A. Map Page

MOST RECENT UPDATE: NOVEMBER 7, 2007 Adjusted the border between the "2" areas E of Riga to make it easier to see that the "2" area east of Riga and the "2" area Ne of Minsk share a common border.

NOVEMBER 6, 2007 Extended the Rhine River to Ulm.

DECEMBER 6, 2003 (Changed my email address...)

AUGUST 30, 2002

Minor correction to my maps (not the Cyberboard map) - amended Antwerp's defense value from "80" to "60"; also, redid the desert areas to better distinguish them from mountains, and enhanced the rivers a bit to make them stand out better when printed.

AUGUST 26, 2002

Thanks to Michael Gerdau, we've identified a few more errors on the maps, most importantly the "Cyberboard" gamebox EIA map. Note the map here is a corrected version of the map that comes with the Cyberboard gamebox, so if you download the gamebox, check to see if it has the latest version of the map (look for some of the most recent corrections below).

The gamebox map is nicer than my maps - more colorful. But mine probably prints out a little better, if you want a paper copy to carry around. I have also made 3 different sizes of my map - a single page, a two-page, and a 4-page version. I think the two-page ("East" and "West") version is the best to print out - they print just large enough to read pretty easily. When I have some time I'll make a two-page version of the gamebox map to print out.

COPYING MAPS INTO YOUR GAMEBOX

To copy the Cyberboard maps into your CB gamebox, open the gamebox with CB Designer, open the map, left-click on the map to "select" the image, then delete it. This will leave a blank map. Then copy the image you want from below onto your clipboard (right-click on the image and select "copy", or hit "ctrl C"). Finally, go back to CB Designer, right click on the blank map, then click on "Paste" (or just hit "ctrl V") to copy the new map onto the blank map.. Save the gamebox file. This will not affect any games in progress using the CB gamebox; the next time you open the game the new map will appear instead of the old map.

Changes made to the gamebox map reflect many of the errors and clarifications we've corrected on my maps over the years:

Changes made August 26, 2002:
1) Removed fleches from Trieste.
2) Raised Vienna forage value to 5.
3) Added crossing arrow north of Athens.
4) Added a fourth spire to Seville.
5) Added a fourth spire to Bordeaux.

Changes made April 16, 2002:
1) Corrected the border between Brunn, Koniggratz, and Moravia.
2) Realigned the border of the sea zones off Corunna so that the boundary terminates in Corunna, instead of the area to the west.
3) Realigned the border of the sea zones off London so the boundary terminates in London instead of in Yarmouth.
4) SWEDEN - Corrected the area 3 areas NW of Stockholm from a "1" mountain to a "2"
forest area.
5) Corrected the spelling of POMERANIA.
6) Added the parts of the West Atlantic that were cut off on the original gamebox map.
7) KLAUSENBURG, Hungary - corrected the forage value of the mountain area NE of Klausenburg from a "2" to a "3".
8) RUSSIA - Corrected the area 3 areas NE of Moscow, along the edge of the map, from clear to forest.
9) Realigned the border between Thorn, Posen, and W. Prussia.
10) Added missing forage values to Gibraltar, Naples, and Sveaborg.
11) Corrected the spelling of "Poitiers".

Thanks to all who helped identify the errors.
