You are all warmly invited to the MSMSV 2002 batch diwali renuion being organizd at Entertainment Paradise (EP) Food court on 22nd of October (Sunday) at 5 PM. The plan is to collect everybody from our batch at EP food court..... at 5 PM sharp... than make good use of the huge open spaces at EP and the pleasent food court to warm up and catch up on old times... to share with each other what each one of us has been doing for the last 4 and a half years and just talk and talk.. :-D .. arnt we missing each other .. so many of us have told me that they are !!!!!!! so here we go... lets meet at the reunion.. and relive those golden days.... please please forward this message to all the batchmates you know.. ... spread the word... This is an open inviation .. meaning.. people come ... people pay for their own food.. no fixed contribution wanted.. also no fixed time limit.. since it is diwali time , we all will have family commitments.. so while many would want to extend the warm evening to a dinner many would want to leave after meeting up with old chums... so its up to you guys.... idea being.. lets just meet.. be it for half an hour .. one hour.. 2 hours or more.. no hangups.... !!!! .. rationally we will expect people to turn up at EP till about 6:30 PM.. later than that please call a friend's cell ( Himanshu / Nipun) to confirm where the group has moved .... looking forward to see you all..... | I have increasingly begun to realise the importance of the bonds we formed during school. I mean - me and Radhika randomly got in touch - and chatted for half an hour straight like the good ol' days. I'm so happy to have a familiar face in NY!
Its funny how even though we've been out of school for so long now, those relationships can be rekindled. And although we grow apart and move on etc. - its nice to kind of go back to that comfort zone of school friends. Anyone doing anything fun this summer? I'm travelling a bit as my one last fling before I move to the big bad world and become a corporate tool. I guess I'm also being extra nostalgic right now, because now I am officially done with college. |

Hope ppl r doing fine. I guess everyone gets busier as life progresses... It's great to get back in touch with some of the people. I spoke to Mudit after 4 years and met Vineet after God knows how long. And just as Mudit said...it seemed quite surreal. Anumeha emailed as well and is trying to find courses in the U.S. And talking of surreal, congratulations to Nikita and Divya. And Priyanka-Rishi, sorry for missing your engagement. .. this website is like an old fort.. all deserted and lost.. but whenever one mistakenly strolls through it , it makes you feel nostalgic.. and powerful and u recollect a part of you that is lost in time...i remember the excitment with which this site was made and then in the world of Hi5 and Orkut and instant messaging and cellphones the idea and purpose of this message board was somewhere lost.. this messge morad appears like those old walls of a old fort where some lonely wanderer or maybe a discrete couple srcatch their name wall and that stays there for eons..the only difference is that whenever this lost scratch mark gets an audience, the person is able to trace the creater of the mark / lover/ lunatic/ wanderer back ... thats magic... we are all flying through this age.. people are already achieveing great things in life ( i mean my classmates) and its a wonderful feeling to be in touch with all of you.. i write this with full belief that the next time anyone reads this will be about 15 days to a month... but then thats how things are i guess... all the best .. raghav.. writing from mumbai |

| Hey kids,
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm moving from Philadelphia soon -- to Manhattan. Got me a job in NYC. I havent decided between my offers yet - but I'll either be doing banking at Morgan Stanley, consulting at Towers Perrin, or marketing research at Comscore. Definitely leaning towards marketing research right now. It just feels right. (Also, their office is in the Empire State Building!!! That'd be so cool!) - Alas, this also means for sure that Im not coming to India for another year. Jeez, that sucks. Now that I'm employed, I have NO idea how I'm going to get any motivation to study for classes next semester. I'm in finals right now - have one today on the most BULLSHIT class (project management)..groan. Its just so much remembering stuff. But after that - its off to vacation in Chicago. How're you all doing? Anyone coming stateside to work? Let me know! |

i guess i can be the message for september. we're certainly getting older - a fact hammered in everyday of final year. i cant believe i have to deal with the beast of recruiting already. im kind of nostalgic about college ending as well, its funny how people merge in and out of your life, but there's always the conciousness that you can run into someone, somewhere at some juncture. living 1000s of miles from home makes you realise how precious people are. ab dooriyan itni hain to, milna yahan kal ho na ho. |

Now that most of us would be thinking of "life after college graduation", I'd like to share my experience of living in Delhi for 2 months over the summer. This is especially for the girls, Delhi is a very livable place now!!!! Despite what the manipulative news sources say, the mass transportation, pollution, people, etc. etc. has positively improved A LOT!!!! (yeah, that's REALLY surprising!) Now, I won't say that there are no "incidents" as such, but hey, what place on earth is "safe"?? So, don't rule out Delhi as a choice for further studies/workplace or whatever. I'm sure (or atleast I HOPE) the Delhiites wud back me up on this one! All the best! And oh, Anumeha, where is Priyamvada Taneja now? Just curious. Radhika |

i'm going to delhi tomm, classes begin day after (30th). so, i'm open for suggestionsa for whatever they feel would suit. even things like color combo would do.. more pics for the galeria? ppl in hostels, this is your cue; mine too. my two + 1/2 months in jaipur started out well, but became a drag soon. i'm really eager to get back to iit, but i dread having to go back to attending classes again :( anyways, don't be surprised if you DON'T see anything new here as well. adios |

im coming back AGAIN. hahaha. just proves that you can never get enough of jaipur.:-D. I'm reaching on the 23rd...after a short stay in istanbul,turkey. *very exciting*. life here's good as usual. i just got out of an exam on linear algebra (may eigenvalues go to hell..who needs them anyways). the upsetting news is that i'm not coming to india over the summer, because i have a job , research assistantship for this study being conducted on face memory, and they needed an electrical engineering and psychology student...and i'm like the only one in the entire univ. :). it's going to be a lot of fun, taking FMRIs, and ERP's and working with maintainance of equipment, and building faraday cages. im really psyched! whats going on with jaipur? hopefully meet everyone i didnt see over the summer! mudit |

Well I have had a great xperience in IIT bombay till now. There is no ragging here(which is a very big advantage) there is just an intro that they take and ask u all sorts of questions. The seniors are very friendly and by now I have gotten to know lots of them. There is a lot of opportunity in sports as well cult activities and I am utilising each of them to the fullest. We just had our physics, chem and maths quizes and they went fine. Bye |

| hey everybody! well i've been busy for the last month or so but not with studies or anything but mostly with recreational activities and practice sessions. you ppl must have read about the incident that occured in the other hostel with prakash rajpurohit.. the one that was almost pushed to the verge of a nervous breakdown by ragging. well, that sorta ragging goes on with everybody and some are doing that even know in our hostel but believe me when i say this i didn't have to undergo any such ragging!!! i know it's hard to grasp, but my ragging finished after the II day of it!! and some of you must be curious about this so i'll also let you know that i didn't even have to strip! there was this inter-hostel musical event 2 days back and i was there playing the keyboard for my house (not a solo performance, but as accompany) and we won the first prize.. well, that was mainly because of the guitarist we have.. i cannot put in words how good he plays but you can ask rashi, she was there.. about my roomies, i've two roomates, cramped into a room meant for 2. but that is only for this semester. after which, i'll have only 1 roomie. both of roomies are striaght from 12th class (unlike me) and lack certain degree of maturity at times.. i can't remember if i've already mentioned my address here so i'll put it up again... | Hi people! Ive been having fun travelling the states! Im in New York again, with a friend. I went to his school today, and they just let me in! HE got an appointment for us with a teacher, and then waltzed around the place. Its REALLY different from our school, starting with the fact that they have 9 girls in their school who are, um,,oh, pregnant. anyways, I was just thinking, how do we go in to meet teachers now? to plan it out, i'd like to have some suggestions on what sorta questions and answers we can have.. something to work with.. whether every visitor is allowed to post on it.. talking about school policies (about not allowing us to roam in the corridors?), life-style and stuff... about the chat and online thing, a better options would be to sticking to online messengers 'cause - 1. the odds of two people surfing on to a site at the same time is really very slim 2. what are messengers for? 3. i've never tried to make this before ;) how about the site telling you the name of visitors in the last 5 minutes on the site?? i can get the online chat thing but using that to just to know that someone is online is really not a good idea. think about it. you logon to the site. open a _seperate_ chat window and keep that window running in the background as long as your are online (that's what you are asking for, aren't you??). honestly, i'd find that a lil annoying, esp 'cause i end up opening many windows even if i sit on the net for 10 minutes... now, the problem with messengers is that we have accounts at different msngrs, msn and yahoo prob being the most common. i'd recommend everybody trying out the new messengers that allow you to add your lists from all popular messengers. one such alternate is trillian (i saw a few days back), indiatimes msngr (heard about it from someone but have never tried it) and gaim (available only for linux right now ;) ) what does everybody think? |

i followed ur link from virtually every computer on campus, and they were all fine. i guess windows XP is okay with it. now get this about macs, if ur mac is on a lan, it turns on file sharing by itself, and i saw my neighbor hacking into his friends computer, and it listed all the macs on campus. i dont have an opinion on linux, as i dont deal with dinosaurs. windows 95 sucks big time...anyone getting new OS, get XP. its really good. oh and yes...i have to use macs for my physics labs...and trust me, i would rather do it manually than have to use a mac. |

| yeah........rajeev's right. it was AWESOME. really really good meeting up with a school friend! and in NYC....woo hoo! NYU is a great school (but not as great as penm ;-)))) and god, the best thing was this teeny weeny hole-in-the-wall restaraunt in greenwich village where we had dinner....for under 4$!!!! that, is probably the cheapest dinner you can expect...it was meditteranean food. and times square...god, that place is so awesome. philly is REALLY cold, they say it snowed here when i was in NY.

pav bhaji: Pav Bhaji literally means Bread and Vegetables. It doesn't sound all too exciting when you put it this way but the 15 million Bombayites who relish it off the hawkers on the pavement have their taste-buds in the right place. | hey sharad, that joke was so good. music to my ears. im tired of hearing jokes about people from texas...they're the american equivalent of sardar jokes, but not quite the same.
on another plane, how do you explain the following things to an american in english? please help me out!! 1. pav bhaji 2. pranam 3. bindi 4. gulab jamun for all the harry potter fans, ive seen the second one!!! its good...really good, but not as good as the first one. its going to snow here tonight, weather reports say. let's see! very exciting!! its the thanksgiving holiday here, when everyone goes back home, to eat turkey and pudding. clearly, i wont do that! but its really scary, because out of the zillion people who walk around campus, not even 100 are here. its like, the campus is DESERTED! i'm going to new york on friday, and tommorow my jijaji is coming...someone to show around at last! and for everyone in india...are u guys all ok? is this major exam time or what? why dont u guys enlighten us with whats happening? |

| once, this american, italian and our beloved sardar ji were working at a high-rise construction site. the lunch break starts and they decide to have their lunch on the tenth floor.
The american opens up his lunch box and finds burger and says, "bahut ho gaya. mein roz roz burger nahin kha sakta. agar kal isme burger hua to kal mein isi manzil se kud kar jaan de dunga!" Next, the italian finds pizza in his tiffin and says, "oof! Aur pizza nahin khaya jaata. Agar kal isme pizza hua to mein bhi yaahinse ke kood ke atmahooti de doonga!" sharad , OSA sucks big time. i havent joined it and dont know if anybody at all has. they just go and give boquets to the principal on teachers day. full stop. they have no events, no get togethers, nothing. i did a little research. for a few facts, the members of OSA received exactly 3 letters in the last 2 years, reminding them of school diwali mela/childrens day thing or whatever fancy name they could think of for the mela. and the rest for teachers day. for the info. the form is available with mishra sir (the file, technically speaking is this old brown thing in the labyrinth of school files and as a couple of yellowed out forms.)the life membership is 500 rs (or 10 dollars;))so if u have 500 rupees to waste, join it, or better still, send it to me so i can buy 2.5 indian dinners. bye!! |

| hello everbody,
my experience in srcc has been of a mixed kind with both fun and ragging and stuff.classes r in full flow. Well no coolers in hostel and plus the climate so hot and over that the gals oh man wot to say hahahaaa. The seniors have ragged me over here.No jeans , no belts no bags no shoes and they send me to get their work done like making drafts for which obv i gotta go to bank and that too diff branches!We have to wish them and call them always sir and the hostler seniors here r 2 much, they r threatning that they will make us naked and will make us run on the field and alll, well lots of stuff like that r happ,But its good to know senior and these will be the ppl whom u can get help from.Some of them r good and some r very helpful.If u r found outside i mean in the college corridors and any senior found there then thatz it man u forget the rest of the day to attend the coll classes!Well other than hostel life i say is a must experience its kewl,we started warming up in the morns. Met a lot of new ppl and amde a lot of new friends.one bad experience was getting kicked out of the NIA class on the very second day. well that's part of the coll life. keep in touch every1. bye take care. |

| i guess there were some extra bugs @ the server but the prolem turned out to be a different implementations of several functions that i use at the tripod server and my apache/linux server.
