Chris
Lemon Art Education includes 4 yeas at Glendale College Art Department,
4 yeas serigraphy with Guy Maccoy, 1 year acrylic/watercolor with
Sally Miller, and recently Ventura College plein air watercolor with
Dorothy Orr.
Chris
has exhibited at Brand Library & Art Center, Glendale, Ca., Cresenta
Valley Library, Montrose, Ca., Pasadena Public Library, Firehouse
Gallery, and Lowe's Business Designs, Pasadena, Ca. Also at The Forge-Patio
Gallerie, Walnut, Ca., Roberts Gallery, Van Nuys, Ca., The Brownstone
Gallery, Brooklyn, N.Y., and locally at Buenaventura Art Gallery,
Ventura, Blanchard Community Library and Santa Paula Society of the
Arts both in Santa Paula, Ca.
Not
only an artist but a teacher, Chris has taught Color and Design (Acrylics)
at Brand Art Center for the City of Glendale and teaches Serigraphy
and painting to private students at her home studio.
Recipient
of several awards in juried shows, including two firsts. Her work
in Ink, charcoal, collage, serigraphy, acrylics and watercolor is
in many local businesses and private collections. Some other media's
are mosaics, and constructions utilizing glass, mixed media and found
objects.
Chris
is a founding member of The Firehouse Gallery in Pasadena, a successful
artists' cooperative.
