Judy Klement - Artist

"I enjoy painting people and places in pastel, oil or mixed mediums. My spontaneous impressionistic-realistic style goes beyond the visual to capture an essence of being, to share a moment in time preserved as art." Judy Klement

A board member of Santa Paula Society of the Arts, Judy Klement is President of Ventura County Pastel Artists and member of Camarillo Art Center and Buenaventura Art Association. Her realistic-impressionistic style comes alive in her use of pastel, oil or mixed mediums. Formerly from the East Coast, Judy considers California a 'perfect home' and adores our fantastic surroundings. She studied pastel with 'Hall of Fame' Joe Hing Lowe, Pastel Society of America and Oil painting with 'Who's Who in American Art', Anthony J. Manzo of Taos, NM.

Current Exhibitions and One-Woman Shows: Casa de La Luna; Ojai "Little Gallery" 2000-2002; Blanchard Library One-Woman Shows and in juried 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 Art & Photo Show in Santa Paula; at California Oil Museum; The Depot; Santa Paula Theater; in Ventura at Buenaventura Gallery and Affinity Bank, at Maritime Museum and Studio Gallery in Oxnard, One-woman showings/sales at First Bank of California and Camarillo Art Center. Limited edition authentic 'Giclee' s/n prints available now at John Nichol's Gallery and Judy Klement's Studio in Santa Paula, also at Buenaventura and Live Oak Gallery in Ventura.

Former Exhibitions from 1977 to 1998 as Judith A. Aymar: New York: Chase Manhattan Bank, Governors' Island - 1988, Salmagundi Club, Lustig Gallery and the National Arts Club. New Jersey: Bergen County Museum, Jersey City and Newark Museums, One-Woman showing at Wyckoff Wild Life Center, and Winston, Patrician, Renaissance, and C & R Galleries. Skylight Studio in 1977-1978. California: LA Art Expo demo in 1989; 1988-1990: Blue Moon and Zak Gallery, 1998: Gallery 9, Hecht Gallery and Installations l and ll in Encino and LA. Showings/sales Arizona and Italy.

Her oil "Statue at Battery Park" is in the permanent art collection of the U.S. Coast Guard. Judy Klement's portraits and custom art appear in private collections here and abroad. She has demonstrated for many CA Art organizations (CAC, SPSA, VCPA, VAA, upcoming BAA), private clubs and fundraisers for The Ventura County Museum of History and Art , Aegis and others.

Teaching Art: Judy Klement's Santa Paula Studio is the perfect setting for working in Pastel, Oil or Acrylic. Advanced and beginning students are welcome to learn in private and semi-private sessions. You can "Learn to See as an Artist", "Portraiture", "Basic Sketching", "Oil/Acrylic Painting", "Pastel Painting" and much more. All Students are taught on an individual basis. Appointments can be made for 'Critiques'. (In 2001, Judy Klement taught children "Affordable Art" at Camarillo Art Center. A creative art director, Judy is a commercial artist/consultant in advertising, marketing and publishing. "I enjoy Teaching, motivating students to overcome problems by pre-arming them with workable solutions. Pride of accomplishment shines as they become more proficient in their artistic expression."

January 1999, Judith Aymar and Walt Klement of Santa Paula married and she became Judy Klement devoted to their line of "KlemenTime-ART"
