Metropolitan Building with Broderick Tower

Two of the cities largest abandoned skyscrapers, the Metropolitan Building and the Broderick Tower make a nice pair. The Tudor/Gothic inspired Metropolitan Building once housed the majority of the cities jewelers and was known as a high end downtown commercial space . What the Broderick building does not posses  with ornamentation, it makes up for with verticality. Like the Kales building both of these structures futures are uncertain. Due to the cost and health hazard (asbestos installation and lead based paint) it is almost impossible to tear down these structures. The Hudson's demolition proved that some things are better left( both historically and aesthetically) standing.
